With over a decade of experience and a wealth of qualifications, Mita Menezes is a highly respected psychologist, therapist, and coach. She is trained to be Trauma-Informed and is certified as a Sex Therapy Informed Professional and Queer (LGBTQIA+) affirming. She founded Turtle Balance, a centre that provides a range of services to help individuals improve their mental health, relationships, and overall well-being.
Mita's educational background reflects her unwavering commitment to excellence. She holds four postgraduate degrees, including an MA in Clinical Psychology, an MBA in Human Resources, a PG in School Psychology, and a CAGS in Expressive Arts Leadership along with certifications in Advanced Mental Health Psychotherapy, Couple & Family Counselling and Child & Teen Psychology. Her comprehensive training encompasses various therapy interventions, including Psychodrama, Expressive Arts, CBT, REBT, DBT, SFBT, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Internal Family Systems, Behaviour Modification, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming. Having been supervised by senior psychiatrists and psychologists, she's well-equipped to provide effective therapy and coaching for individuals, couples, and groups.
Working with people from different cultures, industries, and countries, Mita is an interpersonal and intrapersonal relationship expert. Her varied experiences ignited her passion for helping others lead better lives.
Deepening her passion, she ventured into psychology and therapy, volunteering in NGOs, wellness centres, hospitals, and universities. She facilitated for differently abled children, participated in community-based camps, and served as a lay counsellor in HIV and addiction centres, and nursing homes showcasing her dedication to making a positive impact.
