About
Hi, my name is Devna and I am a Counseling Psychologist based out New Delhi, India . I am currently offering teletherapy sessions to my clients. I have completed a dual Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University, New York City. I have over 4 years of work experience in the United States. Previously, I worked at a Community Mental health clinic in New York City for 2 years and I recently moved back to New Delhi.I have worked with a diverse number of clients and I provided bilingual individual counselling to 40 clients a week.I decided to move back to India as I want to be able to help further the work being done for Mental Health in India.
I treasure each human being and truly believe that each person has the potential to succeed in life, and it is my goal to help them through it. I use several modalities such as CBT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic/ psychoanalytic and several others.
I know that it can be difficult to open up to someone about your life, but the first step in this journey is to ask for help. I believe that each one of us has a unique role to play and that we all should take things at our own pace. Let's work together through this journey of life.
