About
Shriti Mitra’s passion for understanding human behaviour, thought, and relationship, makes her a friend and guide to all. Though been counselling friends and strangers unofficially from a very long time, she now holds a Diploma in Counselling Skills from Banjara Academy, trained under an eminent counsellor and personality Dr Ali Khwaja. And has done her MSc in Counselling Psychology from Montfort College, Bangalore with an aim of widening her horizon and to gain as much knowledge in the field as possible.
She is organised and independent; has the ability to effectively coordinate tasks to accomplish projects with timeliness and creativity. She has to her credit - research on “Problems faced by Contract Labours. (T.Y.BA)”, “Domestic Violence. (T.Y.BA)”, “Problems faced by working women (MA 1ST YR)”, and “School as a social Space. (MA 2nd YR)”, Developed a program for parents “To understand the impact of different styles of parenting on stages of development of their children. (MSC 2nd YR). Presented a paper on – “Life skills intervention strategies among Differently Abled” in an international conference in Bhopal.
She has worked with Optum Health and Technology as Counselling Psychologist for 11 months. She has an experience of over 3 years as a Student Counsellor in Vagdevi Vilas School, and Kendriya Vidyalaya – Air Force Station Yelahanka, Bangalore, teacher aid in Baldwin Opportunity School, Bangalore for 1 month, as a content editor with ANSR Source India Pvt Limited, Bangalore for 3 years, and has conducted various workshops at schools notable among them being a Workshop for Parents of Baldwin Opportunity School, Bangalore, Workshop for Parents at Red Hills English High School, Bangalore, and a 2 day workshop for students at the Scottish Church Collegiate School, Kolkata, and New English High School, Mumbai.
