About
I am currently in the final stage of my PhD in Psychology from Christ University, Bangalore. I have also completed my M.phil in Psychology and Msc. Clinical Psychology for Christ Univeristy, Bangalore. I have completed my B.A.(Hons.) Psychology from Ambedkar University, Delhi.
I believe that each of us have the power within us to transform our lives. As a therapist, I would be there to support you and walk along with you through your journey of healing and transforming. I have been engaged in helping couples rediscover the spark in their relationships and have helped them rework and rediscover their relationship patterns and help them envision and live a beautiful life together. Stress management, Anxiety disorders, Identity Conflicts and Adolescent Counselling are also areas I am specialised in.
The therapeutic frame that I use in my practise is grounded in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy . I focus on identifying and understanding the dysfunctional belief system which has been disrupting the life of my clients. My aim as a therapist is to provide a safe space for my clients where we can together idenify the dysfunctional beliefs and patterns in their lives and work together in challenging the existing beliefs and rework on reframing their beliefs and thoughts processes and help them cope effectively and overcome the obstacles in their lives. In my sessions with couples, understanding the dysfunctional patterns and helping them identify and create secure patterns of attachment in their relationship, while providing a safe space for them is the goal of my therapy.
