About

I am pursuing my certification in Expressive Arts Therapy. This approach allows me a level of flexibility which I enjoy dearly. It makes sure that the client feels safe enough to express and also allows a holistic understanding of the situation without feeling anxious or overwhelmed. I enjoy the use of visual arts, music, movement, psychodrama and storytelling in my therapeutic ventures.

Presently, I work with an NGO which works with underserved children who come from a community which is violent. Therefore, my present work deals a lot with trauma. Adolescent mental health is another area I closely work with. I provide services to the team who work with the underserved children to prevent compassion fatigue.

I am passionate about working with present day mental health problems which trouble Millenials like Quarter-life crisis, Anxiety, Loneliness, Depression, Work-life imbalance and others.

I would love to work in a geriatric setting to use Expressive Arts Therapy with the population and break myths.
